Homes and apartments
Most front doors in Dún Laoghaire are either a euro-cylinder multipoint on a uPVC or composite door, or a traditional mortice and night latch on a timber door. Both can normally be opened without damage.
Apartment blocks
Apartments often add a communal entrance and a fire door to the picture. Mention the block when you call so we bring what is needed for both doors.
Businesses
For commercial premises we will ask you to show that you are entitled to access — a lease, a utility bill in the business name, or a manager who can confirm it. It protects you as much as us.

Will my door be damaged?
In the large majority of lockouts, no. Non-destructive entry is always the first approach.
Do I have to prove the property is mine?
Yes — some form of proof that you are entitled to be there. Photo ID with the address, a utility bill, a tenancy agreement or a neighbour who can vouch for you all work.
I am locked out of a rented flat. Can you help?
Yes. A tenancy agreement or post addressed to you at that flat is normally enough. If the lock needs to be changed rather than opened, that is a decision for the landlord.
