Anti-snap cylinders

Cylinder snapping is one of the more common ways uPVC doors are attacked in Ireland, and a standard cylinder gives very little resistance. If your door has one, upgrading it is usually the single most cost-effective security improvement available.

Keyed alike

If you are replacing several locks at once, they can often be keyed alike so one key opens them all. Worth asking about before the work starts rather than after.

What is an anti-snap cylinder?

A cylinder engineered to break along a sacrificial line if it is attacked, leaving the locking mechanism intact and the door still secure.

Do I need to replace the whole lock or just the cylinder?

Often just the cylinder. If the mechanism inside the door is worn or the handles are lifting badly, more of the assembly may need attention. We will show you what we find.
