About Dún Laoghaire
Dún Laoghaire is a coastal town in County Dublin, about twelve kilometres south of Dublin city centre, and the administrative centre of the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown local authority area. Its harbour, the East and West Piers and the seafront along Scotsman's Bay are the town's most recognisable features.
It is also where we are based. The town's mix of Victorian terraces, seafront apartments and newer developments is the reason our work here is so varied — a period timber door on Royal Marine Road and a composite door in a harbour apartment need very different approaches.
Dún Laoghaire is a parliamentary constituency represented in Dáil Éireann, the lower house of the Irish parliament or Oireachtas. The constituency elects 4 deputies (Teachtaí Dála, commonly known as TDs). The method of election is the single transferable vote form of proportional representation (PR-STV).
